We are delighted to share that Firesafe Installations has been shortlisted as a finalist for the 2023 Association for Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Passive Fire Protection Awards—in the Installation of the Year category! This recognition highlights our extensive work on the £11 million fire protection installation at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital.
A Complex, High-Stakes Project
Our team was tasked with a broad scope that not only demanded expert engineering judgments but also careful inspection, testing, and certification of many previously installed but uncertified fire seals. To ensure no stone was left unturned, we divided the installation work into 170 separate zones. This approach allowed us to keep a close eye on each area, preventing any further uncertified work from slipping through the cracks.

From the earliest stages of planning through final delivery, we aimed to set the bar high for fire protection standards. By focusing on detailed documentation, rigorous testing, and a proactive communication loop with on-site teams, we were able to adapt quickly to each unique challenge the project posed. Our overarching mission: to ensure the new hospital would be equipped with passive fire protection measures designed to protect lives and infrastructure for years to come.
